Property Description
This property is located on Corkinsville road which is a seasonal use road. There is approximately 3,300’ of road frontage and there is no electric available at the road.
The property is completely wooded and is comprised mostly of spruce and pine plantations and has areas of young forest providing great additional wildlife habitat. There is a 10-acre hardwood stand on the south side of the property that is well stocked with maple, cherry and ash timber. This diverse habitat creates endless opportunities for many different game and non-game species alike.
There is no lack of sign for deer and turkey with abundant game trails throughout the plantations and along the edge of the drainage. The highest point on the property contains low brushy cover perfect for upland bird habitat. It is also directly adjacent to the 3,744 acre Tioghnioga Wildlife Management Area which has some of the best whitetail deer, wild turkey, roughed grouse hunting in the area. There have even been black bear harvested on this WMA over the course of the last few years!
There are two gravel driveways on the east side of the property. The southernmost driveway is perfect for your truck and camper to allow you to stay on the property all season. Both driveways can be expanded and create more open space for you to enjoy. A perennial stream runs through the southern end of the property that begins near the middle of the property and flows south.
There are two ponds on the property; the western pond is roughly 0.35 acres in size and the eastern pond is roughly 0.1 acres. The western pond is the deeper of the two and would be perfect for a dock to enjoy swimming and fishing from with family. It is unknown if there are fish in either of the ponds, but both will support fish stocking.
It is located only 15 minutes from Cazenovia Lake, Tuscorora Lake and Deruyter Reservoir for some of the best boating and fishing in the area. If you prefer winter sports you are also only minutes from Toggenburg Mountain, Labrador Mountain for skiing and Highland Forest for cross county skiing and hiking.
