This tract of timberland has been under consistent forest management for decades. It is an almost entirely forested property comprised of black cherry, soft maple, hard maple, yellow birch, beech, hemlock, spruce and more. The last timber inventory was made in 2014 and has been grown forward to present as there have been no harvests immediately prior to or since the inventory was made. The current inventory shows an estimated volume of 959,195 boardfeet, or 3,008 boardfeet/acre International ¼ inch log rule.
The deeded right of way is used in common with other owners along this road. It is suitable for trucks and heavy equipment and has been used in the past to remove timber from this property and other adjoining lands. An existing skid trail system provides access throughout the property for hiking, ATV’ing, mountain biking and more, including for future logging as well.
There are multiple areas where a camp can be built if you are looking for a secluded place, loaded with trees and wildlife, for your recreational getaway. Deer, turkey, bear, grouse and more are frequent visitors here. Several lakes, streams and reservoirs are nearby that have excellent trout and warm water fisheries. Spruce Creek, Spruce Lake, Klondike Reservoir, West Canada Creek and East Canada Creek, to name just a few. In addition, a large portion of Jerseyfield Road is part of the area Snowmobile Trail system, providing for winter recreation activities as well.
Property boundaries are blazed and painted red and are easily found.
