Property Description
The property is entirely wooded and is comprised of mostly hard maple with smaller amounts of cherry, ash, hemlock, basswood and other species. In total, there is approximately 144,187 boardfeet of timber, International ¼” log rule, on the property providing for long-term income from forest management if desired. The last thinning was made in 2017 and the forest looks great with quality timber stocking as the residual from that harvest
There are several internal roads and trails that provide access throughout the property. These trails are ideal for hiking or atv’ing and lead to all parts of the property. There is a small stream that crosses the property near the north boundary. This stream flows all year though the flow is greatly reduced in the summer months.
It is also evident that deer and turkey are frequenting this property. Access for hunting is good and there is also abundant NYS Forest for hunting, hiking, fishing, both across the road from this piece and up off from Center Road and RT 23. The snowmobile trail system starts just south of the property on Coy Rd and the old CCC trail.
The property has good, drivable deeded right of way access from Coy Road and no electric is available. A 4×4 truck/SUV or ATV is the best vehicle to drive on this road.
If you are looking for a remote property away from the crowd, then this could be the spot for you!
