This Adirondack parcel is located in northern Warren County outside the Hamlet of Baker Mills and situated in the Town of Johnsburg.  This property has approximately 1826 feet of paved frontage on State Route 8 on the north and a common access on the east side of the property off State Route 8.  Electric available at road.

All 135 deeded acres are forested and timber was last harvested approximately three years ago.  The timber harvest has opened up trail access into the property which allows for recreational vehicle use as well as hiking, skiing and snowshoeing opportunities.  As well, the harvest has allowed for a flush of greenery found desirable by native game such as white tailed deer, black bear, moose and grouse.

An open area is located just inside the property line along the common access on the east side from State Route 8.  This area offers level access, ease of turn-around and a secluded, yet accessible area to develop for a camp, home or to park an RV.

Baker Brook, which flows through the property for approximately 2200-feet, is classified by the NYSDEC as a Class-A trout spawning stream and is the major tributary to Windover Lake approximately 3.5 miles downstream along Route 8.  This stream is a significant attribute of the property that compliments the other features including terrain, long-distance views, woods and wildlife.

The property elevation rises to the point where there are impressive views to the east of the Upper Hudson River Valley and Green Mountains and to the north and southeast where Eleventh Mountain and Crane Mountain (5-miles distant) can be seen, respectively.

The Town of Johnsburg boasts over 130,000 acres of Forever Wild State Forest Preserve lands as well as featuring Gore Mountain Ski Resort only minutes away.  Across Route 8 is the Siamese Ponds Wilderness which is a 114,000 acre tract of forest preserve that offers 50 miles of marked trails and an additional 30 miles of unmarked foot paths mostly used by hunters and anglers. Trail destinations include mountain peaks and primitive camp sites located on back country waters. One could walk through this unbroken tract for days and not encounter a road or any human feature.

With ample road frontage and a common access into the property between #2098 & #2118 State Route 8, it is easy to envision this property as a recreational and hunting getaway.  All the amenities necessary can be found in North Creek, including Gore Mountain Ski Resort, dining, groceries, shops, auto repair facilities and tradesmen.
