The forest is comprised of hard maple, cherry, soft maple, ash, hemlock, beech, birch, plantations of pine and spruce, and more.  The forest has been managed well for a long time which is evident with the quality stocking of trees in all sizes.  A harvest exclusively of white ash was made a year ago to remove the ash timber before it succumbed to the emerald ash borer.  The forest still looks great after this harvest and final road grading was completed.  There is an estimated $45-$50,000 in timber here currently which will only continue to improve with time.  This value occurs on only about half the property currently as there are many young developing stands here that will increase in value over time.

There is plenty of opportunity here to create better habitat for many species with food plots, feeder ponds, etc.  The numerous spring seeps on the property could also be captured to make a nice pond for your personal recreation as well.
