About Me
Mike was raised on a dairy farm which ultimately converted into a beef and crop farm. Even at a young age, outdoor recreation developed naturally. Farm life was gratifying, entertaining, and honest, but God’s plan seemed to reveal a focus on the forest, which has continued as a developing passion.
Shortly after graduating high school, Mike began his pursuit for the great outdoors by investigating a forestry apprenticeship. His discoveries affirmed a desire to incorporate his love of forestry into a career. To enhance his forestry training, Mike went on to Paul Smiths College, where he earned an A. A. S. Degree in 2016. Mike feels great satisfaction when a landowner is assisted in accomplishing a goal, whether by improving forest health, reversing deleterious effects of poor harvesting practices, improving wildlife habitat, forging a recreational paradise, or a combination of all. The frequency of positive landowner achievements will increase when land with potential is matched with a knowledgeable owner. This realization led to a desire to become a license real estate salesperson where I can help others achieve their goals of land ownership and long-term improvement of the resource to meet their specific needs.
When Mike isn’t working or helping a friend manage a woodlot, he will be found hunting, fishing or landscaping and truly living the outdoor lifestyle.
